A Splash of Colour

Lumix GH3. 100-300mm lens. 250mm. 1/500 at f8. ISO400.

Crocus found by a woodland path. 
I have found some here before at this time of year, hopefully there will be more shooting up soon.

    Hi Roy I am on the I.O..W. at present and have seen quite a number here in all the colours. I think it must be a bit molder here. Daffs are out as well and some early blossom. Spring must be round the corner. your shot is lovely and shows hope for more to come.

      Yes it would be milder there.
      Daffs are only just in bud here at the moment.

    I'm assuming these are just popping up out in the wild? Would they have escaped from garden waste at one time?

      Its possible Carole, but I don't know how they would have got there as its not near housing.

    The ones in the garden seem to have gone crazy this year so hopefully their less domesticated cousins will do well too.
