More Orange Tip

Fortunately the male Orange Tip is now pitching more in the afternoon providing a chance for a few better shots.

However the females, that usually emerge at least a week later than the males, are not providing the same opportunity as yet. I have only seen one so far.

A Great Jay Day

I returned to the area in the Parkland where I had recently seen a Jay.

Sure enough I found one moving around at ground level and also in the surrounding trees. Then to my surprise I was able to photograph two in the same shot. I assumed that this was a pair and they were preparing a nesting site in the immediate area. So fortunately for a change, I had a great Jay Day and took quite a few shots before leaving them to their preparations.

Garden Warbler

The Garden Warbler - A fairly nondescript brownish bird you could say.

Wait until you hear its beautiful song though.

I found two yesterday on my walk, both of which were giving forth their delightful sounds.

It has just arrived from Africa for the Summer and will leave again in October.

A Bird in the Bush

Sometimes a Wren will perch on a prominent position and sing away and take no notice of your presence. 

Other times it will hide away out of sight and scald you for being anywhere near it.

Whichever of those scenarios are likely it is a delightful little bird to watch and photograph given the opportunity.
