More Autumn Colours - Parkland Walk

Autumn colours abound now that we are nearing the month November.

Winter birds that visit the area are now showing up such as the Stonechat. A few wild flowers are hanging on and still providing some colour. Agriculture activities swing into Autumn tasks such as ploughing and working the soil with drag harrows. Geese having flocked together are now providing some different photo opportunities on the lakes. During this walk you can observe from the river that there was no wind blowing. The temperature was around the 12* Celsius mark with the occasional glimpse of the sun, but mostly obscured by a haze.

My latest Parkland walk had quite an autumnal feel and look about it.

Canada Geese overflight

Great Tit at the nuts again

Darth Vader returns.

Rare to see a Grey Heron swimming on the water.

The Oak Tree is just turning.

Found in a flower bed, no idea what it is though.

Base of a mighty Oak tree.

Hip Berries

A line of Tufties.

Oak leaves turning make lovely colours.

Greylag in silhouette 

The Bugle flower still makes a little colour for the time of year.

At least you can rely on some Black-headed Gulls to be available at this lean time of year for a shoot.

Plenty more Tufties on the lakes now.

Coal Tit

Possibly a variety of Hawkweed or Hieracium.

Still Bumbling Along

Its the third week in October, the temperature is dropping, but the Bumble Bees are still around searching for food where they can find it.
