Weather Update
My Blogger Friend in Finland is going to fall about laughing when she sees these images. 😁

Yesterday we actually had snowfall in Dorset.
As afr as I know this is the first snowfall of any consequence that we have had in five years in this immediate area. It has just about disappeared now.

  6. Love the photos, Roy. Quite envious of your snow - last time we had snow here it brought us a Brambling and a Hawfinch to the feeders.

I have once got Lapwing photos as close up as yours and was amazed by the colours in their wings - they are beautiful. I hadn't seen any since Brittany where they would be seen in winter inland in the fields, until yesterday when we were out watching some Black Winged Kites which have appeared about a mile from my village. Noticed a large flock of birds faffing about in the fields, which turned out to be Lapwings!

    1. Thanks Mandy. Yes Lapwings or Peewits as we use to call them in darkest Somerset are lovely birds.
