Searching out birds at this time gets quite frustrating. You know they are there, but finding them is something else. Perhaps a field of well grown potatos is probably not the best place to look.
However there was something moving about and peering out at me from a distance.
I don't know how many, but I am sure there was more than one female Pheasant amongst the spuds.
Almost certainly there was a male somewhere, but not sighted.
Somewhat easier to find by sound if not visually, are a flock of Starlings on blackberry bushes.
A few shots of the local Fenland areas taken whilst out searching.
Linnut ovat todellisia piilottelijoita! Mahtavat kuvat;-)
ReplyDeleteKiitos Anne. :)
DeleteBonjour Roy.
ReplyDeleteOh ces paysages sont immenses !!!! C'est difficile de trouver un oiseau là dedans.
Magnifiques ces gourmands dans les mures ;-))

Bises et bon weekend.
Hi Roy, I really had to laugh when I saw the first photo, it's funny how the birds is spying on you ;-). And they can indeed be sneaky these pheasants!
ReplyDeleteThe starlings are wonderful, and hungry. I like them very much. Your landscape is also lovely, especially the first and the last photo are lovely.
Kind regards,
Marianne
Thanks Marianne, yes birds are often spying on me from covert positions. :))

DeleteIt is now really searching for the birds but they are gathering for their journey to the south. The pheasant you can nicely "catch" so in the tree :-)
