Chalk Hill Blue

Always lovely to find the Chalk Hill Blue each year.
Such brilliant colours and markings.
The location I normally find this species has produced a good number this year.
Certainly better than last years numbers and my initial sightings are earlier as well.

You can find this species on chalk and limestone hillsides and they are quite approachable with caution.

  2. Yep, went out and got my annual CHB fix a couple of days ago! As you say good numbers again this year although photo's were challenging, they were staying very low in a brisk breeze and the stunted crispy brown vegetation!

As usual Roy, you got a super set of images...[;o)

    1. Thanks Trevor.
The dry grass was much longer were I shot these, they don't usually like that and I didn't expect to see so many, but it had no effect.
