Common Blue and Dingy Skipper

Two species found recently.
I quite expect to find the Common Blue now. The Dingy Skipper is not so easy to find. Even when you do track one down, they move very quickly low across the grass and you can loose sight of them due to their size and dull brown colour.

Reed Warbler

Always one of my target species to photograph each Spring when it arrives on migration. A challenging bird to shoot in the open. It will sit amongst reeds for hours chattering away. You can hear it and pinpoint more or less where it is, but waiting for it to appear is another matter.
Fortunately as a species, it tends to return to the same location each year so that helps with finding it.

Canadian Gold

I was fortunate to arrive at a scene where these Canada Geese goslings were being watched by their parents as they fed on grass. Unfortunately I was only able to get a few shots of them amongst the perfect setting of daisies before some idiot with a loose dog came along and frightened them on to the lake.

The more vocal amongst the goslings were having a lot to say about everything.
