A Sheep Day

A final post to round off the year.
On my walk this week I came across a flock of Ewes all of which are hopefully waiting for a happy event in the Spring.

Treecreepers and Reed Buntings

The final bird post for the year.
Firstly I noticed two Treecreepers flying about a large Oak tree on my walk. They were moving about the tree, but not in any form of pattern. I got the impression that one was trying to drive away the other at times.

A female Reed Bunting was observed eating seeds from dead Nettle plants.

Just A Few Birds

A walk on a really grey misty horrible morning that turned into light rain halfway around the Parkland. One of those days when you almost wished you hadn't bothered.

This Grey Heron was standing at the edge of a lake looking on into the mist and waiting for the next meal to come along.

This Robin drew my attention to it by landing on flimsy dead foliage nearby.

A female 'Tufti' scampered away over the water into the mist.
