An Orange Encounter

Its quite encouraging that the Orange Tip numbers are considerably better this year than last, as far as my observations are concerned anyway. One of the really colourful Spring species to appear each year. I didn't observe many last year in any areas that I frequent so how they managed to recover I don't know.

Unfortunately these two above never did get it together.
It would appear that the Lady had already encountered a Suitor prior to this chance meeting along the river bank.

  2. Upeat kuvat! Olet ollut nopea liikkeissäsi. Perhoset on minulle liian nopeita kuvata. Hyviä kuvaushetkiä:-)

  10. Great captures of the butterflies in flight and doing what they are doing - which isn't 'it'! ;-) Good to hear about numbers being up this year.

  11. Our numbers seem to be down this year in this butterfly. Great shots and great timing to get all that action.
