Its quite encouraging that the Orange Tip numbers are considerably better this year than last, as far as my observations are concerned anyway. One of the really colourful Spring species to appear each year. I didn't observe many last year in any areas that I frequent so how they managed to recover I don't know.
Unfortunately these two above never did get it together.
It would appear that the Lady had already encountered a Suitor prior to this chance meeting along the river bank.
Wonderful in-flight shots. He clearly had his mind on something else.

DeleteI saw one the other day Roy dashing past at the speed of light so these shots are good. Weather here is FABULOUS. Definitely our summer. Too hot to sit in for me but I am lapping up all of us. it is usually you better better weather than us, but it is OUR turn.
