The Little Owl - A delightful small Owl that can be found in the day time and will also call during the day time.
I took these images in the local Parkland at around mid day. I was intending to search a couple of tall trees where one or two have been known to frequent. Before I arrived at the location I could hear a mewing sound and then a few Owl screeches. It took a while to locate this bird as it was sitting high up in one of the trees and it is well camoflaged amongst the numerous bare branches.
It occasionally stretched one of its legs and wings.
Also some preening.
I say, try and stay awake during this photo shoot Mr Owl.
Well this brightened up my Monday morning!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that Steve.
DeleteGreat series. I can't believe that it stayed there and let you photograph it while it stretched and preened.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wilma. He was very high in the tree and my appearance wouldn't have bothered him.
