Red-crested Pochard

Four visitors to the Parkland Lakes today.
Two male and two female Red-crested Pochard.
I personally have not seen them there before and the problem was that they were right out in the middle of one of the larger lakes. So I needed to employ the X2 factor on my camera to double the distance of the lens. Therefore the detail is not very good, but you can get the general idea of the colours of this beautiful duck.

These are assumed to be wild Winter visitors to UK rather than resident feral types.

Feliz domingo!
