Its that time of year now when the Greylag and the Canada Geese in the Parkland have finished with rearing young and start to flock together for the Winter.
Its a special time that I always enjoy watching as the geese will fly off from the lakes and graze in the various surrounding fields. They return several times during the day for water and fly off again.
I took these images below recently, but the problem was that it was a very dull overcast day which didn't help with shooting very clear images.
Hopefully this will not be the last time you see flying geese in my blog this Winter.
beautiful flying geese photographs Roy; well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole.
DeleteSome cracking flight shots here Roy (and the new header). It's always a great experience to see, and hear, a flock of geese as they take to the air...[;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks Trevor.

DeleteI adore geese, so I love your wonderful photos of them in flight. You have caught them beautifully, just at eye level.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy.
DeleteRoy, very nice "in flight" shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathie.
DeleteRoy, still a great series even if you do not like the lighting. Love your header shot too!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I always like your flight shots. I wish I could have gotten better shots of the Snow Geese yesterday, but I take what I can get and I'm not as skilled as you are :-)
ReplyDeleteStunning pics Roy, considering the awful light recently these photos have come out really well and are much, much better than anything I've got lately. You and your cameras are certainly producing some great photos during your Parkland walks :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks David.
