I think the reduced numbers generally are due to the dreadful weather last year and species around then were unable to successfully lay eggs for this year. It could take a few years to recover or get worse if we have too many summers like the last one.Roy Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07054701497328213666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365178818029938715.post-20788217826637216802013-06-17T21:07:10.278+01:002013-06-17T21:07:10.278+01:00This is an amazing blue butterfly. I went for a walk Sunday in the fields, into the woods and back into the fields. Did not see ONE butterfly during the entire walk. I am quite worried. On dull days the Adonis Blue is more greyish blue, so it does depend on the light how you see its colour. If there is both Common Blue and Adonis Blue in one area at the same time you will see the difference in the shades of blue of these lovely butterflies.Linda Yarrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03804368844243909168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365178818029938715.post-2081859094327119412013-06-13T18:39:25.983+01:002013-06-13T18:39:25.983+01:00Thanks Kathryn. Thanks Kathryn.Roy Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07054701497328213666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365178818029938715.post-68731044984375498962013-06-13T18:39:05.611+01:002013-06-13T18:39:05.611+01:00Thanks GG,
