Brown and Purple

Although the colours of a Dunnock, Reed Bunting and Crocus flower don't exactly go together, but they were taken on the same walk so I thought them worthy of a post.

  2. The purple crocus colour is really not a natural shade at all when seen in that context!

  5. Lovely set of pictures Roy:) I love the Dunnock, I have a few in my garden. I like the change of layout of your blog. I have scrolled through your previous posts, the pictures of the Treecreeper are lovely, I have seen this bird in my garden during the winter months a few times along with the Goldcrest who is still around at the moment.

    1. Thanks Lyn. I keep chasing Goldcrest with little success.

  6. I think Dunnocks often seem to be neglected or ignored as 'common' birds. I love watching them and listening to their song.

    1. They are amazing with the antics they get up to John and the pattern of their plumage is intricate.
