Scenes From a Cycle Ride (3)

The final part of my scenes from my latest cycle ride.

More images of the flock of sheep already mentioned.

This lonely Bluebell was shooting up amongst masses of Wood Anemones.

Oilseed Rape plants below already reaching a fair height.
The white bags hanging on poles in the field are meant to keep Woodpigeons away.

  1. More lovely rural scenes Roy and what a beautiful day you had for your bike ride :-) The Primroses are lovely and those horses are a very handsome and obviously well cared for trio. The Oilseed Rape is a bit behind this year isn't it but is just starting to flower up here now.

  2. What a lovely ride. Primroses are my favourite flowers closely followed by Wood Anemones. When I lived in East Anglia we had woodlands carpeted with them, but up here where the soil is acidic I cannot grow them at all:(

They are growing in ancient woodland just off the edge of the fenland really.

    1. Yes Keith, it was certainly a lone one amongst all the Anemones.
Usually the Anemones have nearly gone when the bluebells come out.

  6. I enjoyed your rides Roy. You made lovely spring pictures, the sheep and the landscapes are both very nice, it's nice to see the sun is shining. Hope the weather will give you more nice days for taking another ride.

  7. Nice to get some cycling weather. Round here they seem to have given up growing rape. It was all the rage up to a couple of years ago.

    1. I think its Crop Rotation John. They have to change every few years because it will bring on crop disease otherwise.

  8. Beautiful spring images of animals and plants. The photo with the fence I find even very beautiful.
Sorry for the late reply but I was 6 days without internet.
