A Spot of Fishing

During a walk around the parkland I was able to observe and photograph a Grey Heron wading along the edge of a lake and fishing in shallow water.

One of the fishing sequences I was able to observe.

Showing off its juggling tricks.

More 'Strike' shots

  3. A brilliant series there Roy. Must have been great to watch the bird in action. We are so lucky to live in the age of digital cameras. Imagine trying to get that sequence with a 36 frame film.

  10. Your photos always amaze me. A couple of strike photos where the water appears as almost icelike or glasslike shards around the heron's head are tremendous:)
